Technology Integration
Data handling
Technology Integration is the use of materials, techniques and processes to support the curriculum. Typically this will involve computers, but it can also involve other technologies such as digital cameras, audio/visual equipment (eg. iPods, video), and control technology (eg. robotics). Digital literacy is a key component to effective use of technology; critical thinking and creative design are required to become content creators rather than mere content consumers.
Typical Outcomes: What It Looks Like In Practice
Presentation
Usually projects will be multi-disciplinary, covering more than one subject area. Presentations can involve collating information, design, and use of multi-media. Art projects can involve labelling, text visualization, and mapping. Timelines in Social Studies require internet research, ordering, and creative design. Data handling in Math and Science can involve information gathering, hypothesis generation, graph creation and interpretation.
