Not everyone was able to come due to a late lunch. Despite little time, several sudents made a valiant effort, as shown below.

What beautiful weather in a gorgeous setting - a Science nature hike on Cypress Mountain. Each class had a school camera for students to take pictures.
Today we experimented with Voki. I love Brodie's example - this has quite a sense of humour! The Grade 1 classes used the spinner and simple options in 2Paint a Picture to create a picture of their own snail. I love the snails going the other way to the example shown!
The Grade 5/6 Tech Club were introduced to Scratch, and are learning to program and remix their creations.
Ok - 10 students forgot to attend! But the rest had a fun time with 2Paint a Picture. I set them a task of just using the Splash tool to first make a Big Splash, then a Flower Splash. We used different sizes to gain some perspective, as well as different shades.
Thea designed her picture for the 5/6W class website using Kerpoof and the 'Make a PIcture' feature. What was so creative was her idea to represent all the students in the class using the given images. Kudos to Thea for checking that each of her peers was happy with her choice of image for them, and changing it if neccesary.
The Grade 5 website is now functional. Adam Lewis worked his photoshop magic to produce a lovely banner image.
The Grade 2 classes have been using 2Paint a Picture to make All About Me spider diagrams. Daniel was the only student to finish - more to come next week! Here's a good link for Kindergarten / Grade 1 to practise mouse and trackpad skills: http://teachers.henrico.k12.va.us/staffdev/clough_d/Websites/TrackPad.html Thanks to David Clough for this. Set up trial websites for both Key classes. They also did a sample survey and blog. 3A and 3C both came into the IT Centre for Wordle sessions.
