Last year I used pho.to for the students to play around with photo effects. As we're setting up a class website and blog for them to manage I let them experiment with their pictures. the results are below!

I was thrilled with what the students produced today. We used big huge labs to add effects to chosen pictures.
This was interesting. I gave the students the same instructions as I gave to 5/6W last week. The only difference was that I showed them the 5/6W blog with the published pictures taken last week. Maybe it's a developmental issue, but the pictures taken by 3/4DG were generally not of a high standard in terms of subject. Most of the pictures were focussed on student faces - not so much creativity evident here. But the picture taking process proved useful for them. Next lesson we'll focus on producing more creative content!
This was an interesting experience for me, given that the theme was 'Go Wild' in terms of 'getting back to nature. Watches, cameras and technology was discouraged so that the students could 'live in the moment'. I acted as the official photographer, and presented a slideshow at Assembly. At least we stayed dry for most of the time - the rain didn't start until our journey home!
The students were very attentive listening to instructions, and they produced some good pictures trying out different angles and techniques (ie. using shadows). These are the pictures that they chose to publish: |
