Today I gave 5/6W the task of updating their website. I added an extra page (ucoming dates) and everyone was assigned a page to edit. Elle made a great suggestion for the blog entry; take pictures of the pumpkins and write about the pumpkin carving yesterday. Well done, Elle!

Thea designed her picture for the 5/6W class website using Kerpoof and the 'Make a PIcture' feature. What was so creative was her idea to represent all the students in the class using the given images. Kudos to Thea for checking that each of her peers was happy with her choice of image for them, and changing it if neccesary.
The Grade 5 website is now functional. Adam Lewis worked his photoshop magic to produce a lovely banner image.
All morning was taken up with a full faculty/staff meeting discussing Creative, Imaginative Education, focussing on how to teach 'thinking'. This afternoon I gave a personal tutorial about blogs (weebly and wordpress) then moved into my office. Here it is! And the Grade 4 Team are going to produce a Grade Website (using weebly) - hooray! :)
One of those days spent helping lots of people with small tasks (eg. SmartBoard setup, printer help etc!) Had 2 productive meetings with Gr5/6 Key (they want to set up a class blog) as well as the Gr5 Team (Grade website, as well as the termly focal IT projects).
The first place to start is the Tech Space where I plan to put all the resources and happenings. This is it! So now I'm learning how to design and layout the elements of this website and blog.
